This was a fun quilt to make! Thanks for hosting, looking forward to seeing the parade of quilts.
Thanks so much for doing this quilt along. I’ve really enjoyed the process, and am super happy to have met some great quilters I didn’t know before.
Thanks for hosting such a fun and informational sew along!
I had lots of fun with this! thanks so much!
I better get my act together and finish my binding so I can share my triangle quilt.
Look at all those triangles! Awesome Paula! Its been fun to watch, congrats to all of the finishers!

Absolutely! I will email you.
Thank you so much for hosting! I enjoyed it all the way!
Thanks so much for such an awesome quilt along! Every step was a great learning experience, and it was so much fun to share it with you!
Paula, thank you for hosting this QAL don’t think I would have tried triangles for quite awhile still if it wasn’t for this.
What fabulous triangle quilts! I love how everyone’s turned out different but all so pretty.
I learned a lot on your QAL and am very pleased with finished quilt. Thanks for making it possible! Jan
Thanks for hosting this great quilt-along. Now I can say I have made a triangle quilt! Your directions (and pictures!) were a huge help.
This is my first completed QAL, thank you for hosting. I will definitely be making another triangle quilt – especially after seeing the wonderful finishes here and on flicker. I want to do some research on using that Marti-Mitchell triangle ruler that I have before I start my second one – sure there are a couple of hints out there. Thanks again for a fun time – now, if I could just be as successful in the drawing……
Thanks Paula! I made a baby quilt, a fisherman quilt, and have strips ready to sew together to make one more. Three triangle quilts and you deserve a lot of credit for the great inspiration and instructions!
I’m done! I’m done! I’m done! Thank you Paula for great instructions, encouragement, and comments all along the way!!!
Finished! This has been so much fun! Not smart enough to link up my photo so I emailed it to you Paula. Hope I was smart enough to do that. Thanks for being a great host.
Just wanted to say thanks for the qal, I’ve had fun but I won’t be finished in time. I keep adding more quilting and I decided not to stress about it. I’ll be sure to post a photo in the flickr pool once it’s done.
I did it!!! Just finished the binding 20 minutes ago! :) Everyone’s quilts look lovely.
A marathon to get it completed in time. So happy to say I am done :) THANK YOU for this QAL – I love my triangle quilt. I also see loads of other quilts that I adore and will be using as inspiration – awesome!
Thanks for an awesome first QAL experience!! SO many finishes too! A testament to what a wonderful hostess you are :)
All the quilts look amazing all listed together in the linky party! It’s a credit to you and your fantastic instructions during the triangle QAL. Sadly I’m still sewing the binding on mine (my daughter’s b’day party plans took precedence), so I’ve just missed the deadline to link up :( Nevermind, I just wanted to thank you for a fun QAL and for giving me the courage to try a triangle quilt, I really enjoyed the process :)
Stay tuned for something fun for those who didn’t make it:) Keep quilting!
I’m still sewing! :) I finally landed on my width of 31 triangles, so I need to add 8 more to each of my 18 rows. This thing got big fast, but I know it will get a lot of use! I was hoping to start sewing rows together today, but that might not happen considering I have 144 more triangles to add! ;)
Very well done and written my friend.
I’ve only just begun writing myself in the last few days and noticed maqny articles simply rework old content but add very liuttle of
value. It’s good to read an enlightening write-up of some real value
to your readers and me.
It is gong on the list of details I need to replicate being a neew blogger.
Reader engagement and materil value are king.
Many superb ideas; you’ve most certainly managed to get on my lisst of sites to watch!
Continue the excellent work!
Well done,
Deeanne
Hi Paula, have come to your Triangle QAL 10 years after it started from Sew Fresh’s binding tutorial. Wish I had gotten here a lot, lot earlier. I started my quilting journey with a triangle quilt that was supposedly a beginner level quilt. Very meagre instructions – had to make a template, no instructions given just the sizes, then told to cut the fabric using the template – nothing more. Instructed to join the triangles together into rows, then join rows, trim the edges and the quilt was finished. Nothing at all about; starching the fabrics to help with the bias edges, cutting the fabrics into strips before cutting the triangles, how to join the triangles into rows or how to keep the points when joining the rows. A few weeks later there was a message from the blogger to say the measurements for the template were incorrect. That entire experience was so frustrating & very nearly the end of my quilting journey. That quilt is still not finished – but I have now at least sandwiched it and am learning FMQ so I can finish it. I have made several other quilted projects since but have not had the nerve/inclination to do another triangle quilt but with your instruction I feel confident that I can attempt it. Thank you so much for keeping these instructions up on your website.
