Bella Skill Builder
Block 4
Flying Geese
I love Flying Geese!
Such a classic block with a modern feel.
This pattern uses a method you may not have used before…. There are lots and lots of different ways to make a flying geese unit.
First they have you make these units. You will need the instructions to get this part done. I call this the Eleanor Burns method because it is where I first learned it and she has a special ruler for trimming them that you will need.
You can get this ruler HERE. They have all the lines for lining it up and is super easy to do. I also love a pattern with a little extra so I can get a perfect unit when I am done.
Here are your two little perfect geese babies!
You will make three of these 4 geese units.
Have fun with these guys.
Don’t forget its not too late to get your supplies to join in! Below are the links to get you there.
Fat Quarter Shop has a Quilt Kit, Backing Set, and a Thread Set for this quilt.

Hm, Well I think I have that ruler in a box of stuff of my moms. I am going to have to give that a go because I too like a bit extra to square up. Seems I am always short on a side or no seam at the peak.
